Dear Teapot was born out of my lifelong love for art, vibrant colours and special gifts. From a young age i found energy and meaning in drawing. I still love the feeling of going from blank page to brand new creation - it's like magic and something i'll never tire of!
My adult artistic journey was originally rooted in the world of fine art - drawing more traditional portraits, landscapes and still life. Today, i channel that same love for portraiture into an expressive, more playful, illustrative style. I create colourful animal, landmark and fashion illustrations that capture the unique spirit and personality of my subjects. You can view the showcase of my original artwork here
I love getting to share my designs with others and my goal is simple: to turn everyday items, like your morning mug, into a source of joy and bring a splash of warmth to your day!
My range of colourful products include: mugs, tote bags, greeting cards and feature cushions. Each one features a print of my original, hand-drawn and hand-painted artwork and is perfect for gifting - either to yourself or to someone special!
Incase you were wondering why we don't actually sell tea :p its because 'Dear Teapot' is a love letter to my Nanny Kay who i use to affectionately call 'Teapot' due to the vast amount of tea she use to drink every day! Her enveloping hugs, raucous laughter, love of a good murder mystery and surprisingly mischievous stories are still greatly missed! I do hope that what we are doing here, would make Teapot proud!

Meet Jossy
Jossy is an original character created by me and acts as the official logo of Dear Teapot. She started life as a rough biro sketch! My husband and i use to do drawing challenges where we set ourselves a different theme and give ourselves an hour to create a unique drawing based on this. Jossy came into being during a particularly personal challenge to 'draw ourselves as a game character with animal features'! My original drawing of Jossy is on the right.
Being so personal to us, it felt natural that she should be our brand logo and with a few modifications (swapping out paint brushes for a teacup for example) , she has evolved into a colourful and much loved Dear Teapot ambassador! You will find Jossy on our packaging and in various places on our website (perhaps we can start a new 'Where's Jossy'?)
